The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) is currently rolling out the Tax Administration Core System Update (PSIAP) which is part of Tax Reform. PSIAP focuses on redesigning business processes, updating information technology, and improving the database used by DJP. And taxpayers must also be prepared to follow changes that will occur later regarding the implementation of their tax rights and obligations. One thing that taxpayers must be familiar with from now on is the Core Tax Administration System, aka the Core Tax Administration System, or what is more familiarly called Coretax.
Coretax is a DJP service administration system that provides convenience for users. In short, Coretax is a new DJP system that will be used by taxpayers to exercise their rights and fulfill their tax obligations. Currently taxpayers use various tax applications, including Ereg (registration), DJP Online (reporting), E-Nofa (tax invoice serial number), Efaktur Web (creation, management and reporting of electronic tax invoices), Desktop Efaktur Application (Downloaded application-based invoices), e-SPT, and others. The main objective of developing Coretax is to modernize the current tax administration system. Coretax integrates all core tax administration business processes, starting from taxpayer registration, reporting notification letters (SPT), tax payments, to tax inspection and collection.
However, there are important things that taxpayers must prepare in welcoming the implementation of Coretax. Anything?
- Make sure you have matched your Population Identification Number (NIK) and Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP)
- Make sure the data in our DJP Online is correct and updated, including:
☐ Primary Identity
☐ Mobile Number
☐ Email address
☐ Identity of the Responsible Person (Main PIC) in the form of email and active cellphone number (for Corporate Taxpayers)
☐ Branch Taxpayer List Data (Place of Business Activities/TKU)
☐ Establishment Documents (for Corporate Taxpayers)
In one of the Coretax first things that must be done when implementing Coretax include Reset Password, New Registration or Digital Access Request.
New Registration is intended for taxpayers who do not yet have a NPWP. Digital Access Requests are intended for taxpayers who already have a NPWP but do not yet have an account or access to DJP Online. Meanwhile, for those who already have a DJP Online account, the first thing they have to do is reset the password.
The difference in resetting the password between DJP Online and Coretax is regarding the EFIN (Electronic Filing Identification Number).
In DJP Online, if a taxpayer forgets their password, they can reset their password in the “Forgot Password” menu by entering their NPWP, EFIN and email address.
In Coretax, password reset no longer uses EFIN, but the password reset link will be directed to the email account registered by the taxpayer with DJP Online.
What if the taxpayer forgets which email he or she has been using or can’t even access the email? To avoid this, make sure the email registered with DJP Online is correct, updated and accessible.
